Raymond Carver

A small good thing was a really long story. I would consider it a novel. I thought that it was interesting though. But I also thought that it was going to have a totally different out come, for some reason I thought that someone was going to get killed in the house. It was because no one would ever say anything on the other line when the man would answer the phone. I thought that it was sad that the kid scotty had to die, and I also thought that it was strange that they would not call it a coma that the kid was under. But at the end of the story they are cinnamon rolls that made them feel. And I thought that it displayed the title in the end of the story. Because the snack was considered a small good thing.

I added this picture shows the death of one team, and the sadness that they had to face.

Rhinocerous

There have been alot of times where I have been the Rhinocerous. That is because I was the rebel of the family and lived above the influence. One thing that was big in my family was to talk to someone that my mom aproved. But I was the one that talked to someone that she was not happy about.

But there have also been times where I did things just to be like everyone else. The first thing was when I played football. I played because my brother played and was good at it. So thats what made me want to do the same thing. I liked the prided and bond that you got when you were laced up and ready to go with your boys. It was like you were ready to go to war, but at the end of the day it was just a game.

Spring Poem

The title of the poem that I selected was called Spring by Karla Kuskin
I really like this poem because of all the visual and auditory tools that were used. There were descriptions of a rabbits nose and also the buzzing of bees. This poem talked a lot about animals and plants. It focuses on them mainly because of the fact of rebirth. That is what came to mind when I think about a blooming flower and the changing from moon to sun. This was a very light and bright poem.

Ode To Clothes

This poem was something that was very interesting to me and lie all poems there were different literary tools that were used to describe the story. I felt like this poem was trying to say that clothes play a important role in most peoples lives. I say that because in one part of the poem it mentioned that "it molded me", and to me that means that the cloths could help distinguish you as a person. The tools that i think was used was visual.

Robert Frost Poem

The poem that I read was Titled "Ghost in the mansion" by Robert Frost. This poem was very short and interesting to me for many reasons. This poem made me really expand the way that I thought about things. It make me realize what i imagined to be real and what i imagined to be fake. The literary tool that i used was visual and this is because I felt like I was able to see what the author was telling me with his words in a visual way. This was something that was very interesting to me because with such a short poem I was able to have a clear description of a story.
